Materials needed: 17 4-oz. baby food jars Christmas tree lights (35 light string) Gold strand of garland 2 inch wide clear mailing tape Glue gun Instructions: Wash and dry jars, removing all labels. Arrange jars to shape a triangle with 5 jars on the bottom row, 4 jars in the next row, then 3, 2, and one at the time. Use the two remaining jars below the bottom row to form the stump of the tree. See below: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Hot glue the sides of the jars together. Cut the garland into 4-inch pieces. Once the glue has dried on the jars, put one piece of garland into each jar. Now, take the string of lights and starting at the top put 3 lights into the top jar and two lights into each remaining jar. Take the clear mailing tape and tape the lights into place by running tape across the open ends of the jars. It will take several strips of tape to do this. After completing this, tape the other sides of the jars the same way and also around the sides. This will help hold the jars together in case the glue comes lose. Stand the Christmas tree up and plug it in.
