About

Carol Preflatish

My interest in writing began in high school when I worked as a reporter, photographer, and Sport's Editor for the school newspaper.

During those years since, I kept involved in different aspects of writing. For over a year, I wrote a column called Time Travels for the local historical society's quarterly newsletter and also wrote their press releases for the newspaper, all the while serving as president.

Because of my interest in history, in 1993, I co-authored A Commemorative History of Crawford County, Indiana 1818 - 1993. This was a self-published book that was a fundraiser for my local library. Over 700 copies were sold and one hundred percent of the profits went to the county library.

I have worked off and on part-time as a free-lance photographer and have been published many times in my local newspaper. I also had several photos included in the July 1997 issue of Golf Journal, the official publication of the United States Golf Association.

I enjoy writing about espionage and am currently working on a couple novels about CIA operatives, as well as a writer's guide to espionage. I also continue to work on magazine articles and have a part-time copywriting business.

My origanizational memberships include the Romance Writers of America, the RWA Kiss of Death chapter, and the Indiana/Kentucky Writers Group.
