While typing this now, I recalled the sailing delay and how our parents stayed and talked while we were docked. They left us late in the evening already. We slept and awoke when the ship started to sail.

The tartanilla ride was very novel, indeed. And when I went back to Cebu as an adult, the first thing I wanted was to ride a tartanilla. I did, too.

I was in awe when I saw the Maria Cristina Falls. I could not quite believe that was water flowing. To me, it looked like a falling solid object to me.

I have never been back to Marawi City, but I can still recall all the sarimanok at MSU, the blue of Lanao Lake, and the beautiful houses with the unique decorations.

I remember the royal welcome in Ozamis City. We paraded with a band leading the way.

The plateaus of Bukidnon were so foreign looking to someone like me who grew up in the Central Plains of Luzon.
