I grew up in a good Christian home, my parents were always involved in stuff at the church and had me there everytime the doors were open. My testimony goes a little something like this.....When i was about 10 or 11, I went to a play that our youth group was putting on called "Pearls and Brimstone" or "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames" or something else like that that would scare the heck out of a 10 year old. I went forward that night, but it was just because I scared of going to Hell. It wasn't until I was 13 that I realized that I didn't know exactly what I was doing when I went forward at 10 years old. I figured out that being a Christian wasn't about saving yourself from hell, it was about becomeing Christ-like and picking up my cross daily and following God. So at a Youth Evangelism Conference (YEC) when I was 13, I committed my life to Christ. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect by any means. I screw up enough for me and couple of other people, but I have confidence that God can forgive me everytime I fall short. If you have any questions about my salvation experience, or want to know anything about how to become a Christian or Christianity in general, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected].

Right now, I have a weekly gig helping to lead the praise and worship for our youth group back at the First Baptist Pawnee.

My stage rig is pretty simple and straight forward. My amp is a Fender Champion 30. For being a smaller amp, it puts out alot of sound, and sounds best when turned up loud. It has a clean channel and an overdrive channel which I control with a footswitch on stage. The overdrive is very versitile and can go from smooth, easy distorion, to thick, bottom- heavy crunch. My guitar is a black Ibanez GAX70. I absolutly love it. Even though it is more of a beginner's guitar, the twin Powersound humbuckers puts out some beautiful tone whether clean or with distortion. I bought it used for $100 when I traded in my old electric on it. My old guitar was a red Hondo II strat-copy. I really liked that guitar, but the wiring eventually gave out on it and it became unreliable. It was a sad day when i traded off Ol' Red. Anyways, back to my new guitar. The neck is moderatly fast, its pretty light and stays in tune well, even with the nasty string bends that i like to do. Out from my guitar, my signal goes through a Danelectro "Fish and Chips" 7-band equalizer. I mostly use this pedal as a signal booster, but it works well shaping my sound also. From there, it goes to my Toneworks AX100G multi-effects processer. I use this pedal to play different types of distortion, and to add chorus, flanger, phaser, delay, vibrato, and a ton of other stuff to my sound. It also has a build in built-in drum machine with 50 pre-set drum patterns for those times that we play without a drummer....... From there, the signal goes to a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal. This is a really versatile pedal, but I mainly use it to add gain and tone to my sound for playing solos. After that I have a Fender PT-10 stage tuner. And from there it goes to my amp. Pretty simple, huh?
