Post Judgment
Post Judgment
Once a divorce is final, the Judgment for Dissolution is entered.  Oftentimes issues arise wherein one party is not complying with the terms of the Judgment.  In that event, a Petition for Rule to Show Cause may be filed to force the non-complying party to comply.  The Petitioner is allowed to seek his/her Attorneys fee in connection with this type of process.

Occasionally modification of the Judgment is necessary.  Wherein a substantial change of circumstances has taken place.  For example, a child is no longer eligible for child support, so child support now needs to be reduced.  Property settlements are usually non-modifiable, however support issues are modifiable and maintenance issues may be modifiable.  The proper Petition is filed with Notice to the other side, relevant information is gathered and hopefully an agreement is reached.
