Some of the wireless companies in our area have undergone some drastic changes over
the past few years. This page details most of the changes with these companies and

In August of 1998, AT&T Wireless Services began proceedings
to purchase what became known as the Vanguard Area of CellularONE.
Vanguard Cellular was a wireless company that was being sold locally in our area as CellularONE.
These purchase agreements became finalized in January of 1999. All of the local CellularONE
stores were soon converted to the AT&T Wireless Phone Centers you see in our area now.
Premier Telcom carries ALL THREE OF
the original Vanguard Area (the old CellularONE territory) coverage area that is now AT&T Wireless
AND
the CellularONE coverage area for the Greater Philadelphia Market

In October of 1999, Delaware Valley Cellular Corporation changed carriers from Comcast Metrophone
to CellularONE for the Greater Philadelphia Market. Premier Telcom had already made
arrangements to carry CellularONE in this market.

In June of 1999, Premier Telcom stopped selling Bell Atlantic Mobile directly from Bell Atlantic and started
selling Bell Allantic through MCI Worldcom Wireless. The plans from MCI are priced better for the consumer
and MCI tends to run better specials throughtout the year. There are no differences with respect to
equipment, coverage areas, and customer support.
Only the pricing has changed for the better.
