Notice
Please consult your premedical advisor about coursework and course load.  think about the type of classes you are taking.  Don't try and take 20 hours of heavy reading courses your first semster.  consult other students who have taken the class to see what is required and they are a good are a source for notes.Take some classes that you like and enjoy.
Nontraditional Students
Think being a science major will give you and edge well then think again.
Nonscience majors get in at a higher percentage than science majors.  Schools are looking for well reounded students.  This included those who have decided to enter medical school after pursuing another career.  The average age each starting class is rising.  New perspectives and age bring knowledge and maturity tools that are always needed in medicine.
