Last minute Halloween offering. There was a lot of feedback going back and forth before this version was finalized. Originally all instances of "trampy" were "slutty", but the newspaper editor suggested something else, and it didn't change the feeling or the humor. Reader input helped with the punchline. My favorite part is Angi's final statement, the deneumont, as Ms. Lago would say. |

Second last-minute Halloween offering. I like how this one worked a lot, considering how many changes it went through after I thought I was done. Thanks to Kala for the idea. Originally Spence was standing to the right of Angi in panel 3 and was to say her lines, but he took up too much room from the word balloons so he was cut. I figured he says the off-camera "NOOO!!!" thing, but it could be anyone. You decide. |

The end result didn't feel to me like it worked as good as it did in my mind, but everyone seemed to like and get it. The first panel dual silhouette was, I believe, a successful experiment. |

Not only a great book title, but one many people have either read or at least heard of, so I figured it would work in the joke. Hope the sound effects in panel 2 works. I was hoping to show a little more of Marisol's personality. As the ending shows, she can be the flaky Phoebe-esque character I planned on, but Cass' belief that she was goofing on the customer is supposed to show she can be a smart-ass like the rest of them. |

Moved cheese part 2. Cass' turn to play up the joke. She's supposed to be stocking magazines (the title is "YBU", don't know why) and I thought to draw a rack in the background, but I don't really do backgrounds and it would clutter it up. Hopefully people will realize after time that she works at a bookstore. |

Can't decide if I like Cass' eyes at the end. Marisol's eyebrow makes its debut. |
