PreK
This month we learned about the Pilgrims who came to America on the Mayflower.  They worked hard to make new homes for their families.  Their Native American friends helped them to grow corn or maize to eat.  They had a great feast with their new friends.  Together they thanked God for all of His blessings.
Watercolor painting was a nice treat.  We cut out the finished artwork into turkey shapes for a beautiful Thanksgiving decoration to take home. We also made tepees and tom-toms.
There is a cute brown teddy bear in our classroom.  He likes to dress up for the holidays. This month he is wearing a Native American wig, and a nice beaded necklace. We can't wait to see what he will wear in December. You can see his photo if you click on the photos link below.
Dressed as pilgrims and Native Americans, we enjoyed singing for our parents one special day. We sang "Ten Little Indians" and "A Turkey Ran Away."We invited our parents to join us in singing the finale, "We Are Thankful."
Our school photos came out very nice, especially the class photo.  We were very happy to bring them home.
