This month we  learned about a very special holiday.
It is called 'Thank You Day," or Thanksgiving. We thank God for people who love and care for us, and for all of His gifts to us.
We enjoyed making turkeys.  After coloring a paperplate brown, we attached plastic colored clothespins for his feathers.
How very funny!
Pilgrim and Native American pictures decorate our classroom.
We even have Indian dolls, tom-toms, tomahawks, and tepees.
"Ten Little Indians" and "A Turkey Ran Away" are two of our favorite songs. The Native Americans taught the pilgrims how to grow corn or maize.  We colored and painted a picture of corn.
Our classroom library is filled with many holiday books this month. We especially enjoy reading PocahontasClifford's First Thanksgiving, and Arthur's Thanksgiving.
Everyone loves a parade!  We especially like to see the big balloons in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Our favorites are Barney, Dora, and Clifford. Let's not forget about Santa at the end, of course!
