Aralynia is a green island expanse traversing nearly 2000 miles north to south.  Its wide plains and rich, vibrant forests are home to some of the most complex people in Precopia, and possibly on Athia itself.
"Kingdom" is now a misnomer in reference to Aralynia.  Aralynia ceased to exist as a national entity after the death of King Nonegal in 2 Age 3235 (the Year 3235 of the Second Age of the Elves) in the battle against Drakmoor. (See
history section).  Aralynia is now split into two more specific geographic references; Greater Aralynia, which refers to the island subcontinent of Aralynia, and Lesser Aralynia, which refers to the Old Kingdom of Aralynia itself.
     People known as
Aralynian are part of a fair-skinned ethnic group, native to the West of Precopia.  Traits of this race include light hair (light brown to platinum blonde to bright red), blue to green eyes, and complexion ranging from very fair to medium.  They are traditionally regarded as the warrior race of Precopia, having involved themselves in more civil wars and revolutions in their 2,500 year history than any other race in such a time.
Other races stereotype Aralynians as festive and heavy drinkers, and quick-tempered at the best of times.  The truth is, however, that Aralynia is home to the Knights of the Chalice, the Church of Brynioch, and some of the most disciplined and refined noblemen and women in the civilized world.  One must also keep in mind that Aralynia nearly singlehandedly thwarted Drakmoor's ambitions for a dark reign of the known world.
Aralynia began in the darkness of war.  Aralynia's first leader, a man known as Prince Aralyn the Sword, was the son of a powerful chieftain, King Daryus.  Daryus was killed fighting imperialist Eboracans somewhere in the east of Aralynia.  When Aralyn learned of his father's death, he rallied the divided tribes of the West, gave them all a sense of kinship and national identity, and declared the West independent of foriegn rule.  He spent the next four years fighting valiantly against Eboracan forces with the help of the Certanans, or
Northern Terror in Old Aralynian.  The Certanans raided and destroyed Eboracan towns, palaces, and libraries.  Eboracum finally resigned to a truce in 2 Age 1625 and the new kingdom was named Aralynia in honor of its valiant king.  The kingdom of Aralynia would stand for over a millenium and a half, until the death of King Nonegal at the hands of Drakmoor (see Nosferatia section).

The Kingdom of Drennden, the Nation of Sentrania, the Free People of Aralynia, and the United Clans of Certana all make Aralynia their home, as do varied other groups of reknown.
