| Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City. | ||||||||||||
| The year is 2015, and the United States has been on ecological warning for the past three years. The construction companies have successfully cleared all but the forests under government protection- and a drought has been in effect the last two years. Due to it's location in the Northwest, Seattle is one of the few cities that has not been hit as hard as the majority of the country. Even though Seattle seems as normal- it's not quite the same. Residents are only allowed so much water a month, and the price of electricity has skyrocketed. Despite the hardships, Seattle is one of the few cities that can go on continue operating business as usual- though many clubs, shops, and homeowners have resorted to candles or oil lamps at night. Due to the more welcoming climate of the city, many newcomers have made Seattle their home. The quirky natives have quickly been joined by newcomers from across the globe. Below is a listing of some of the more popular locations.. Pioneer Square- A safe place of shopping and commerce while the sun is shining, but after dark when the clubs open- this becomes a dangerous place for those that are breathing. Pikes Market- This area is home to the oldest farmers market in the Northwest, as well as several restraunts; shops, and the entrance to the underground of Seattle. Busy night and day- you can always find anything you need here. Waterfront- Piers 30 through 70 offer some of the best food, condos and family oriented entertainment the city has. While the newcomers are always willing to take in the sights on the water- the natives know better. The waterfront, with it's secluded parks, is where most of the terminally furry make their mark. Wetlands- A protected marsh that can be found on the eastern boarder of Seattle. Many druids claim it to be a "holy place." Capital Hill- Residential area, with houses dating back to the 1800's, and more recent additions of condos and townhouses. **Pictures are from Intellect Systems,Kirkland, WA** |
