| About Frodo: Frodo's parents died when he was only 12, so he was adopted by his cousin Bilbo, a wealthy hobbit. On the day of Frodo's coming-of-age (when he turned 33) Bilbo left the Shire and left all of his possessions, including his house at Bag End to Frodo. He also left him a Ring. Gandalf, a wizard friend of the Bagginses told him never to use the ring. When Frodo was 50, Gandalf returned and told him that the Ring was the One Ring which the enemy Sauron was searching for. Frodo left The Shire with his cousins, Meriadoc and Peregrin and his servant Samwise to go to Rivendell to escape being captured by the Enemy. At RIvendell, a Fellowship of 9 is chosen to destroy the Ring, with Frodo as the Ringbearer. |
