| It was many years ago, one peacefull evening when George (Scott's Step-Dad) and I were out for the night. For some reason, known only to Scott, he decided to help out around the house by washing the dishes in the dishwasher. At least that was his story. Not finding any dishwashing detergent, he decided why not use regular dish soap. It's soap, i'ts for dishes, right? What happened next only Scott and the dishes know for sure. George and I arrived home later, not suspecting that anything unusual had happened. That was until later that night when one of us went looking for the paper towels, which we always had alot of. Well, we finally found them, all of them, in about 3 large trash bags in the basement! Apparently, the dish soap Scott put in the washer turned into suds and began pouring out onto the kitchen floor, the whole kitchen floor. We can only imagine how frantic Scott must have been, not knowing when we would return. Grabbing anything absorbant he could find, he then spent, who knows how long, trying to wipe up the evidence. The bad news-there were no paper towels, napkins or dry towels in the house. The good news- the kitchen floor has never been so clean! That's our Scott- the quicker picker upper! -Janet Putman |
