My parents and their family went through a hard time to travel to America from Viet Nam. They migrated to America because they were being treated badly by the communist of Viet Nam. By the time they settled down, both of my parents met eachother at got married. My big brother was born on February 5, 1984. Then comes me, on July 8, 1985. Later, my little brother was born on February 12, 1987. Our age was very close and I was the only girl in the family. From what I remembered, we all lived in Los Angeles and moved to Ontario when I was 4, because my parents were affraid that my siblings and I are being raised around the environment of bad influence. By the time I was ten, my little sister was born. She was the main person who brought joy to our lives. |

We have many traditions, but it eventually fades as the years to by, because everyone starts to have their own plans or starts to get use to the modern days. But before, like during Christmas, my relatives from my dad's side would meet up and my grandparents house. There, we would bring all of our presents go the house and have a "santa" and it out to the kids. As I mentioned before, traditions fade away; we start having it at different houses now, instead of my grandparents. Another tradition would be praying for the dead. Our church usually have a bring session for a season, where church people would go to your house and pray for your relatives that have past away. My parents usually sign up for these events and we would clean up the house and cook food for the guests. Just recently, we had a praying session for my grandpa who juss past away. |

Our usual vacation trip is to San Diego! To visit my relatives from my mom side. As you can tell, I live very far away from them; about two hours away. I always look forward to the summer because my favorite cousin lives down there and because I have not seen them like for years! One of our new vacation, is going jetski! My aunt and uncle bought a couple of jetski, and they would take my family to any lake nearby to go jetski every summer or vacation. It depends on hour tight our schedules are. There are plenty of other vacations that we travel as a family, but it is too much to even remember. |
