I coined a phrase the other day, It simply will not go away. It rolls around inside my head, It's words are begging to be said. Two little words; one simple thought I introduce to you "God-talk.."
God-talks are anything one hears, That serves to bring our Father near. God-talks are anything one sees, That seems to take one to his knees. God -talks are anything one feels, That to his Master will appeal.
In other words, the term, God-talk, Can be anything that God has wrought, That touches heart or touches soul, That helps a man become more whole
God -talk can be a single word, A repeat of things already heard. A lengthy speech, a fleeting thought, any of those defines God-talk.
A painting, a poem, a song, a prayer, Blue sky, deep ocean, refreshing spring air. The stars, the moon, the warm shining sun, Each and all and everyone.
God-talks are together, or each on its own, A thought congregation, or a thought all alone. A line in a letter, a God-bless-my-friend, I don't think my God-talks will ever end.
I have a friend that I love lots, She often write me with God-talks. If she doesn't mention God each time, I search her letters 'til I find A God-talk she has tucked within, Though she's unconscious of my whim.
I find God-talks most everywhere, Even when they are not there. I know if I'm open and I'm free, God will talk directly to me. So now I share with you my thoughts, I am convinced they are God-talks.
