Jesus Christ loved us in our weakness and gave us strength, he loved us through death and gave us his life. When all else had fallen he stood even after hours and hours of torture he never gave up or gave in. When all looked like defeat he arose and gave us victory.
Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes are we healed.
He took upon himself all of our mental pressures and distress, all of our problems, everything negative and defeating. He was our complete substitute for sin and the consequence of sin.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.
Jesus Christ bore it all by himself, but he did not bear it for himself.
Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
We have limitless ability for spiritually we are full of God and His power and nothing can take it away or it's place.
1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
We have fellowship with God by way of His Son. Christ in you equals fellowship with God through Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousnes, and sanctification, and redemption:
Wisdom = the knowledge of the Word applied in our lifes. Righteousness = the God given ability to stand in the presence of God without any sense of sin, guilt or condemnation. Sanctification = our being called out from the muck and mire. Redemption = our having been bought with a price.
Colossians 1:12-13 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (adequate, sufficient) to be partakers (to share fully) of the inheritance of the saints in light. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
A literal translation of verse 13 would be; Who hath rescued us from among the exercised or operative influence of darkness and separated us out, bringing us as citizens into his kingdom by the work of his dear Son.
Colossians 1:21-22 And you who were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.
Not only did God in Christ deliver us and reconcile us to Himself, but he also made us holy, unblameable and unreprovable in His sight.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.
We've got all of God's ability in Christ. This is God's super abundant power to us who believe.
Ephesians 1:20 Which he wrought in christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
This verse shows Christ's supremacy over the adversaries kingdom. We are seated together with Christ at the right hand of God in the heavenlies.
Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Pricipality = represents the authority of the adversaries position. Power = adversaries excercised power. Might = potential power (sometimes that can develope or become actual) Dominion = lordship--the adversary has a certain lordship as god of this world, he runs the kingdoms and systems of the world.
But in Christ we are far above the adversaries position as god of this world, far above all his powers and potential power of his lordship. We are also far above every name that is named not only in this world but also in that which is to come.
Ephesians 1:22-23 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
God exalted Jesus Christ by the resurrection from the dead and gave him to be head over all things to the church. Jesus Christ is the one who fills all members of his body with all that God gives in the new birth, which is Christ in you the hope of glory.
We are complete in Christ !!!
Accomplishments though Jesus Christ:
New birth (1 Peter 1:23) Sons of God (1 John 3:2) Manifestations of the spirit (1 Corinthians 12:7) Peace of God (Romans 5:1) Access into God's grace (Romans 5:2) Super conquerors (Romans 8:37) Freedom (Galatians 5:1) Fellowship with God (1 Corinthians 1:19) Power and wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:25) The authority to use the name of Jesus Christ (John 14:13) Joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17) Eternal life (Romans 6:23, 1 John 2:25) Saved from the wrath (Romans 5:9) THE HOPE (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)
We can lock our minds into what Jesus Christ accomplished for us and act on it. We can live the more than abundant life, but it takes believing action on our part. It's like a person standing in a cool clear refreshing river dying of thirst, everything is available to quench that thirst, but it requires action on that persons part. He has to take the water from the river and drink it before his thirst will be satisfied. |
