Nehemiah 8:10
There is never a day but we hear folks complain
Of their troubles and trials at length;
And we tell all such people this message of cheer:
That "the joy of the Lord is your strength."
If the will of the Lord for your life is not plain,
And uncertainties still annoy;
Why, just leave all details to the wisdom of God...
Let your strength be the peace of His Joy.
And if Satan endeavors to cause you to fall;
If his wiles against you he'd employ;
You can quench ev'ry dart that Wicked one hurls,
If the strength of the Lord is your joy.
Does the work that he gives seem too much of a load?
Does it try you beyond your own strength?
Well just yield all of your being to Jesus the Christ;
For "the joy of the Lord is your strength."
