| Blessings From Stones | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Sometimes a blessing starts with a stone, Sometimes that's how God chooses to bless His own; Think about Stephen and what happened to him, It scattered the Christians from Jerusalem; As a result, the Good News was preached and heard And spread to the uttermost parts of the earth. Consider Moses when the Israelites muttered, Did God send him to streams gushing with water? No, He answered that plea with a rock, not a river, The rock represented God, the true lifegiver; And the people were blessed with living water, That came from a stone sent by the Father. What about the stone that sealed the tomb? For awhile the disciples were filled with gloom; they started to wonder if Christ was just a man, But the stone rolled away to reveal God's plan; And then they were able to look within And rejoice when they saw were Christ had been. So the next time you're faced with a stone in your life, Some type of heartache, some type of strife Remember the stories of all these men And your heart will begin to rejoice once again; While it's true that our Father always blesses His own, Sometimes a blessing starts with a stone.
