The 9th Circuit Court says WHAT???
Ok, enough already.  Just who do these judges think they are telling me that I cannot recite the Pledge of Allegiance when, where and how I want to?  It's my right to recite that pledge the way I was brought up to do.  At what point was anyone given the right to infringe upon my right to show my loyalty and patriotism for my country?
How in God's name did they come up with the notion that our Pledge of Allegiance, the acknowledgement of one of the most treasured symbols, the most basic signs of what our country stands for is unconstitutional?  And yes, I dare to use the name "God" here and now.  After all, to do so is my right...given to me by my forefathers, the very people who fought and/or died for this country.  Their blood gives me the right to speak as I will without fear of punishment or repercussions.  How can that ever be considered unconstitutional?
Ah...maybe it's their intention to give OBL and his Al Qaeda some of what they seek from us.  By striking at the very core of what the United States stands for, they (and others like them) have served up a little more of the country, and it's people, for the delectation of OBL and his cronies.  Piece by piece we're being handed over to a band of sadistic murders.
I have to wonder if these appellate judges were burning draft cards during Viet Nam.  Food for thought, I suppose.  I agree everyone is entitled to their opinions.  I was against the Viet Nam war myself; however, I was completely appalled by the actions of the majority of protestors of that era.  Were these judges amongst them?  Given their recent ruling, one has to wonder.  Yes, that's who I want deciding what I can and cannot say or do.  Now, mind you, these are just my opinions...random thoughts that have traversed my mind in light of their ruling.  I don't pretend to know anything about these judges or what motivated them to make such a decision, but, in my humble opinion, they are both off their rockers.
For them, and others like them, I have just one thing to say:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic, for which it stands, One Nation, Under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Put
that in your pipe and smoke it!

The thought processes of these judges, and any who agree with their decision, are beyond me.  It's rulings like this that have put the country in the condition it's in.  Children have no idea what patriotism is anymore.  Loyalty to their country is a concept of which they have little understanding.  Parents can only do so much in the way of teaching their children this loyalty when, everytime they turn around, some idiot is ruling that the constitution, or one of it's symbols, is unconstitutional and can no longer be acknowledged in our schools, our courts, our Congress.  Tell me, what's next?  Is the flag itself going to be declared unconstitutional, or in direct violation of some moron's rights?  Where will all this end?
Will they only be content once OBL, or some other Hitler-wannabe has completely over-run our country?
Wake up everyone!!!  Our rights are systematically being stripped from us.  Everything the United States stands for is being trampled on, and we cannot continue to allow this to happen.
Dear Americans:

There is no time for niceties and fancy words.

The American Pledge of Allegiance is under attack.

The 9th Circuit Federal Appeals Court in San Francisco has
decreed that it is "unconstitutional" to recite the Pledge
of Allegiance in schools and public gatherings, because it
violates the separation of church and state.

Everyone is up in arms. The pundits are writing and the
talking heads are talking.

Others are taking action. Movements are underway to hasten a
review by the US Supreme Court. The goal is to overturn the
2 to 1 decision in San Francisco.

We support all such efforts.

But we want to protect the Pledge of Allegiance forever --
no matter the outcome this time.

What if a future President names liberals like those in the
9th Circuit to the US Supreme Court?

We need to take the Pledge of Allegiance out of the
arbitrary, politically correct hands of liberal judicial
activists -- now and forever.

How?

MillionsOfAmericans is starting the push for a
constitutional amendment that embodies the Pledge of
Allegiance. The Amendment will be simple:

"When recited or written, the pledge of allegiance to the
flag of the United States shall be: 'I pledge allegiance to
the flag of the United States of America and to the republic
for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with
liberty and justice for all.'"

It will be the one amendment that we will all know by heart.
And that our children and their children will know. Also, it
can never be deemed "unconstitutional" because it will be
PART of the Constitution!

I'll be in touch again tomorrow.

Thank you for your support.

Ok, maybe not...
No, I'm not an overly religious person (I have my own thoughts about religion; however, they're private and not for public debate), BUT, there are some things that just need to be repeated--like the fact that you just don't mess with the very basis on which this country was founded.  In light of recent judicial rulings, I think maybe, just maybe, there are those out there who need reminding we, the people, have certain rights.
