Because of Adam not obeying the Lord, all mankind are under a curse and must be redeemed back from the devil.
The issue: Lucifer was the highest angel in heaven, giving honor and praises to God until he wanted some of the glory for himself. In other words he said, "Move over Lord, I want some of that glory, let the angelic host praise me too!" The Lord kicked him and one-third of the angels that decided to give him the glory, out with him. They are now demons and is God's enemy. God had a plan. He would create earth and put man over it. Man was to be created in his image. The devil was allowed on earth too, to tempt man to obey him, instead of his maker.
Adam was given a challenge to see if he would give the devil glory or his maker. Adam's challenger was his wife, Eve. Eve was created from Adam's rib. Bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. God put Adam asleep, and from his rib he made Eve.
The devil tempted Eve to disobey the Lord, which she did. But not until Adam disobeyed by listening to what Eve said, did man become cursed, under the power of the devil, who hates God and does everything to kill man. That is the beginning of man's problems (bad health,
fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, wars, terrorist acts, drugs, crime,etc.)
Man has to be redeemed from the power of the devil..the curse!
