NOTICE TO ALL PRE-1969 MEMBERS:  These are the main topics covered at
our meeting.  If you need more details, please contact a member of the
Coordinating Committee.

The Pre-1969 Teachers' Coordinating Committee met Feb. 28 in St. Paul. Joe O'Neill and our volunteer lobbyists, Tom S. & Rick W. were present along with a good portion of our metro-area members.  Thanks to Diane K. we can give you the main items covered:

Internet Updates: Rick W. said that the website has been updated and contains the new language of this year's bills.  If a member has a new email address or has moved, he/she needs to contact Joe and John Gindele:
[email protected]    If Pre-69ers want to receive action alerts and updates from us, they need to ask their internet service provider to unblock these addresses: [email protected]
[email protected] and  [email protected]

Volunteer Lobbyists:  Rick Winters and Tom Selwold, our fantastic non-paid, volunteer lobbyists continue to work hard for us.  We are very grateful for their continued efforts on behalf of all of us.

Diane K. is facilitating several contacts with key legislators.

Joe and John G. will print lists of constituents of legislators who are authors of our bills.  They will also print lists of constituents of Pension Commission members. These will be given to the legislators to show the number of Pre-69 teachers in their districts.

Plans are underway for our volunteer lobbyists and Joe O'Neill to meet with legislators, legislative staff, and constituents.
