PURPOSE. This Web site is a tool through which I will share ideas, pictures, and drafts

with friends and relatives who are helping me with my Personal History Project.

This project (PHP for short) is an attempt to write an autobiography so that my children and grandchildren can learn more about life in the 1930?s and 1940?s; a time when there was no television, limited air travel, and no McDonalds, Burger Kings, or Jacks? in the Box. I hope to expand my date horizon but, for the moment, I?ll concentrate on the early years.

Since my primary objective is the PHP I?ll try not to spend much time ?prettifying? the Web site; iys easy to spend more time building tools than using them.

Caveat. Because of severe space limitations on the site items may appear and disappear from time to time. I?ll try to warn you and will alert you to new items when they are first uploaded, but ---.

 

Progress report. This is version GC of my efforts. Since bandwidth is clearly a problem for dial-up visitors I have distributed the 905KB download across two downloads of 412KB and 513KB. Hope this lowers the pain threshold.
