I am the stone that the builders rejected which has become the chief cornerstone.
The builders referred to here are the Jewish
leaders of the Synagogue in Jesus' day who
considered him a rebel and a rabble-rouser
and sought to kill him if the people would
have allowed it. For multitudes accept his as
messiah and would have rioted had the church
leaders taken any such action on their own.
I appeared in the Jewish temple one day says the Lord and read a passage from the book
of Isaiah words to the effect that the spirit of
the lord is upon me to preach the gospel to the poor
When I did so says the Lord, the leaders said I committed blasphemy.
