President Bush yesterday recognized the efforts of Americans who have been praying for the troops, saying "Americans have been praying for the safety of our troops. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, many Americans have registered online to adopt a serviceman or woman in prayer."

More than one million are involved in our "Adopt Our Troops" campaign. This will not stop now that hostilities have ceased in Iraq. There are more U.S. ground troops in Iraq today than during the war. We must remember to keep them in prayer--by name. And also pray for their families back home.
