As you know, there has been a lot of talk about gay marriage lately. Activist judges and rebel local authorities have made their agenda clear, and that is to redefine marriage, even if it means breaking the law, and going against the majority of the population's opinion by allowing and issuing same sex marriage licenses.

Oh, but these judges and mayors claim that all they are really doing is fighting the good fight. They claim that their fight is similar to when different 'races' couldn't marry each other. They say that as long as two people love each other, then "why shouldn't they be able to marry?" Well, there are many problems with that, and I intend to go through a couple of them.

Firstly, the line has been drawn in terms of what marriage is; it has been defined a long time ago by just about all of human civilization. Marriage has been defined as one man and one woman for about, ohhhh.... since the beginning of time! Clearly, every civilization of every generation has made it clear that marriage is between two people of the opposite sex. But why has marriage been defined so strongly as a man and a woman? Because, and this is important, God has established and defined marriage. It is not a human invention to be molded and played around with as society pleases. It is not a joke. So the phrase 'gay marriage' is oxymoronic, it is a contradiction in terms. You can't have gay marriage because true marriage doesn't allow that. It's like saying the sun is dark. It can't happen!

Secondly, this recent assault on marriage may easily usher in a whole new wave of people seeking to marry. For example, why can't two brothers marry each other? What if these brothers love each other, and want to marry and get the same benefits as married couples? Or what if polygamists start to fight for the right to marry as many women (and men!) as they'd like? You see, pushing the line away from its original established position will just make things chaotic and absurd. Think about it.

This battle for marriage is not really surprising though. Because the 'liberal left' is on a mission. And that mission is to rid America of all Judeo-Christian influence. If they can redefine marriage, and make it into something other than what God has established in the Bible (one man, one woman), then they will have had a huge victory. They want everything that pertains to Biblical doctrine erased, and they will not stop until they succeed. And if they do succeed in this latest attack on redefining marriage, then it will be just another step into the destruction of American culture. When we continue to systematically lose the foundational Biblical principles which America was founded upon, we have opened ourselves up to endless amounts of foolishness, much like many of the other 'Godless nations.'

It is my contention that the secularists want a day when they can look back and say to themselves and write in the history books, "There was once a day when a large part of the world actually believed the claims of the bible. They actually thought Jesus was the unique Son of the most high God." Is this want we want? A kind of America which determines things by our own corrupt, foolish ways rather than God's? Because if Christians don't start to activate themselves in prayer and in deed, then I fear that this will be the ultimate demise of America. Please understand the importance of this issue.
