WHY PRAY FOR HIM? The Dalai Lama is the highest ranking lama in Tibetan Buddhism. He is also Tibet's political leader. He is believed to be the reincarnation of Buddha. The Dalai Lama and his followers are so deceived in the cult of Buddhism that they are totally oblivious and closed off to the Light of Jesus Christ. It is Christ which is the ultimate divider between truth and error, and Buddhism, along with every other false religion contrary to the Gospel, is severely erroneous; for it is only Jesus that redeems our sins. The Dalai Lama has condemned the command of Jesus to preach the Gospel to every person. He has stated that Christians who try to convert people to Christianity are wrong1. We need to pray that the Dalai Lama would convert from his cultic ways and turn to the Lord Jesus. His influence on thousands of Asian Buddhists is immeasurable, and if he turns to Christ, no doubt countless others will also take notice and seek out the Gospel. PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER Father God, we lift up the Dalai Lama in prayer. We know that this man has influence over millions in the Asian province. We ask that he would be around people who reflect Your light, and that could be a good witness to Him. We understand that millions and millions of people follow the Dalai Lama as a person of peace and discipline, but without Christ people are dead in their sins. We know that there is no way that sins can be paid for except for the death and resurrection of Christ. We pray that the Dalai Lama and his millions of followers would see the futility in believing in reincarnation, and that there is no other way that man can be reconciled to God except for Jesus Christ. Thank You Lord for hearing our prayer. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. |
