Two types of definitions viz. 2x2 and 4x4 stiffness matrix. In the images shown below the matrix is considered as symmetric and the user is allowed only to enter the values for the lower triangle. The entry boxes for upper triangle are disabled.
2x2 User element
This code (code 18.0) allows user to define the stiffness of a structure connecting two stations on a beam by means of a user-defined 2x2 stiffness matrix. This code defines only stiffness.

This code (code 10.0) allows user to define the stiffness matrix or stiffness and mass matrix of an element on a beam by means of a user-defined 4x4 stiffness matrix.
