In Memory of my Brother - My Hero
William L. Watkins
"Bill"
February 25th, 1951 - April 29th, 2001
My brother, William L. "Bill" Watkins -
Bubba, to those of us younger (Mark & I) that remember him as our "hero" most of our lives.
Bill was an idealistic and exhuberant young man; absolutely gorgeous from the day he was born, a true ladies man, a gentleman and a brilliant businessman, Bill succumbed to the ravages of alcholism and cancer just two short months after his 50th birthday.

Way too young for a man who had so much to offer the world, and to teach his two sons - William Robert Watkins, and Ryan Hunter Watkins.

Way too soon for a couple of sisters who idolized him - Patti, his big sister - had the blessing of playing the saviour for Bill during his growing up years (which lasted until he passed away), and me - Teri - his baby sister who had the blessing of having Bill as my protector against all of life's "neighborhood bullies".

And, way too soon for his brother, Mark - who just didn't know how to love him.

Our parents, Bill and Pat - should never have had to bury one of their children before it was their time to go; but they did - and miss him terribly.

Bill was credited with starting and growing his own business into a multi-million dollar company; unfortunatately, that business also passed away due to the alcholism that ran Bill's life.  Bill was also Salesman of the Year many, many years in a row for known car dealerships.  Always the "smooth talker", Bill could sell you a iceberg in the middle of the desert - and you would've not only paid a premium price for the honor of owning it with glee, but trusted him to safely see you there!

On the next few pages (coming soon) you'll be able to get to know Bill just a little - from poetry his sister has written, to pictures...the memories we have left of a beautiful man....taken too soon....we miss you, Bubba.

Take good care of your nephew....we'll all be together again soon...
I'm already there - Lonestar

I'm already there..
Don't make a sound...
I'm the beat in your heart
I'm the moonlight shining down
I'm the whisper in the wind
And I'll be there until the very  end
Can you feel the love that we share
Oh, I'm already there....

I'm already there...
Take a look around.
I'm the sunshine in your hair
I'm the shadow on the ground
I'm the whisper in the wind
And I'll be there until the very end..

I'm already there..
