Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of 5 System Administrators (2 DBAs + 3 System Admins) Maintain HP-Unix 11.0, SCO-Unix 5.0, Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 Advanced Server & Informix Database.

2. Maintaining database backups and managing disk space for efficient use of the system. DB activities for different applications like allocating dbspace to applications & adding chunks as per application specifications. Performance tuning of OS & DBs on all the systems in different regions.

3. Providing End-User training to Clients for our Customised software. Maintaining Remote Connectivity through Microsoft RAS Server. Maintain Client-Server Applications at all the regions as per needs.

4. DNS & Send mail Configuration, Printer Server / Backup Device Configuration & Patch Installations on HP Unix Hosts.

5. Upgradation of application as and when required. Identifying problems faced by the user & solving the same. Monitoring the application & data transfer processes avoiding business process failure. Troubleshooting at Application / Informix DB / OS levels.
