First, all political parties unanimously throw the EC proposal barring the charge sheeted criminals from contesting elections to thin air...
Now, all of them join hands to make Rajya-sabha Elections a open ballot.
The beauty of our constitution is that it is not rigid. It has provisions for it to change. But, what sort of judgement are our "leaders" using when they reject the first proposal and accept the second, being very well aware that it compromises one of the most sacred procedures of elections - "The secret ballot"
Another startling similarity, is the unanimity among the political parties in taking such a horrendous, abominable stand.
