Sir,
There was a bloody carnage on Dickenson Road perpetrated
by BMP and Bangalore Traffic Police. The victims were two innocent
trees, which once played part in making Bangalore "Garden City".
There is no logical reasoning in falling those trees. The main problem
with traffic on that road was lack of discipline and certainly not space.
I gather that there will be some more bloodshed around the area.
I earnestly request (read plead) the people responsible to stop this.
Bangalore can not take more of this nonsense.
Thanks
Prashanth Kota

Outcome : Not Printed, but no more trees cut.
What I refrained from saying in the mail to the editor, is that the only beneficiary in the carnage, seem to be the shop-keepers in the Manipal Center, whose shops can now be seen clearly, while waiting on the cubbon road traffic light.
A year ago, when the "charismatic" (duh??) Sangliana, took up the job of widening MG road for more parking, the beneficiary was the Oberoi Hotels... I wonder How many cars can be parked where the tree stood. How difficult is it to park the car on either sides of the tree? How do these people who give such orders sleep at night??? Murderers... all of them invoved in this...
This, yet again shows that with enough money and power, you can get away with a crime as henious as 1)Murder of trees 2)rape of mother Nature.
