Provided timely resolution to business critical Market Data
Operations; Infrastructure Hardware and Software issues, user data content
issues originating from multiple vendor services. Co-operatively worked
alongside Vendors and in-house SUN Hardware, Engineering and Network operations
groups.

Wrote SQL and Perl scripts to query DACS Sybase
DB and generate reports based on Business unit requirements and provided detailed
accountability reports of users, and services to the Business unit. Wrote
and modified Perl and Shell scripts to automate tasks and requirements.

Involved in Several Engineering projects to
install and upgrade Market Data infrastructure: Reuters Data Feeds (RDF),
Session Servers, Vendor IDB’s (Prebon, Tullet, Liberty, Hill, Patriot,
Marketlink, Surf), Vendor Network migrations, and in-house data feed service
consolidations. Ensured proper operation of all Service availability after
engineering projects, updated and documented such events.

Worked on the new RMDS test lab and configured all RMDS
components License servers, MDHub, P2P, Rtic and Rdtick; carried out Triarch to
RMDS migration testing. Temporarily set up and configured RMDS on Engineering
P2P to allow developers to test applications.

Successfully migrated Reuters DACS Sybase
permissions database to new location and infrastructure. Set up and
configured Reuters DACS Permissions servers Triarch Engineering backbone and
integrated Engineering permissions into production Market Data.

Tested new Triarch Market Data system
components, revisions and updates prior to production. Updated internal
Engineering documentation related to Market Data.

Resolved data content queries from Business User groups and
Development groups.

Site Survey’s to completion involving all related parties informed of progress
made. Evaluated and suggested existing Triarch sites for possible performance
improvements. Carried out Maintenance tasks.

Installed and configured AMS’s, Sink / Source Distributors, ISFS, DACS
Effix Licensing, Session Servers. Configured 3d party Feeds such as Cantor,
Bridge, and Telerate to work with Triarch Systems. Concept of IDN and HPSN data
delivery.

Installed blade-runner and fixed Internet access. Configured VPN over IPSec
for smaller clients. Configured Bay routers for Bladerunner and Session
Servers. Integrated 3000 Extra, Kobra, RTW, 3000 Products (Markets, Energy,
Money, and Fixed income), DBU Servers, PowerPlusPro and Reuters Plus
Workstations, PRISM products into client sites.

Dealt with large customer environments, which require unique solutions and
additional support for Networking, Firewall, NAT/PAT issues, and worked closely
with client Administrators. Carried out delicate Triarch power down and power
ups as well as circuit moves. Backed up Sybase on DAC’s and clean shutdowns.
Customized Triarch loads into packages according to customer specifications.

Provided support and knowledge with new products for Product Managers.
Escalate issues with latest software distributions, and communicate faults to
Developers in the evaluation process. Troubleshoot T1/64k circuit issues and
pinpoint problems, and to resolve such problems with data centers and Telco’s.

Provided onsite support and Troubleshoot as a Reuter’s representative at
Client sites. Supported large projects in Dealing System integration.

Configured in-house proxy server for Internet access. Installed and
configured a firewall system using Linux for in-house Lab. Administered and
structured in-house IP addressing scheme for efficient use and manageability.
Worked closely with colleagues and helped new Engineers get on track and
understand Triarch concepts. Designed and supported Reuters Software
distribution CD-ROM writing PC. Recommended Hardware for in-house.
