I have always been interested in technology, even as a child. As I grew older, I developed an interest in digital electronics and computers. My main interests are in Network and System Programming, but I have worked in other unrelated fields. I prefer analysis, design and coding but have also worked with hardware. I like to be involved with the creation of new products, or new versions, rather than maintenance of existing products. I prefer to work independently or in a small team.
Managing various projects for the firm, mainly CRM solutions, remote linux administration and web designing and hosting, cross platform application development.
In charge of all the information technolgy relate work with the NGO working in humanrights field. The work includes setting up of web and e-mail services, maintenance of local network, backups, digitising a vast amount of data from the paper era using 'greenstone' etc.
Leading a workgroup of five engineers on web-based projects. The projects carried out include CRM application for attornies, online banking module for bank automation software, online Bill pay solution, online data collection site for clinical trials and consultancy works for our various clients abroad.
Setup and maintenance of a Local Area Network with 2 linux servers, 20 Diskless nodes and windows 9x, *BSD and HURD clients. Impart free software knowledge to B.Tech. students.
Traffic analysis at an Internet Node
This work was done with the help of DOT, Thrissur. The
main aim was to study the traffic flow through the Internet router and to
create simulation software of the above. The work was done in TURBO C on
Windows 98 platform. This increased my awareness about internetworking, network
bottlenecks and bandwidth optimization techniques
HTTP Proxy
An HTTP proxy server was built using Python. This work helped
me to use this powerful language for both in system level and for scripting purposes and
to learn HTTP. The main features of the program are externally configurable port settings and
access control lists.
Shop Manager
A package to help a medium size shop managers in billing,
accounting and inventory. The tools used were Python, MySQL and Tk. By this work I became
familiar with GUI designing and database connectivity.
