It all started with Helice Bridges, she gave every of her students three ribbons that marked Who I Am Makes A Difference to honor other people to continue the acknowledgement ceremony and instructed them to follow the progress that had been made. One of the boys went to a junior executive and gave him a ribbon and two extra ribbons. The boy told the junior executive to give one of the extra ribbons to another person to honor and the other extra for the person to honor another person. The junior executive went to his boss and honored him with the blue ribbon. The junior executive asked his boss to give the extra ribbon to somebody else who deserves to be honored. The boss came home to where his 14-year-old son was there. He decided to honor his son. "My Days are really hectic and when I come home I don't pay a lot of attention to you. Sometimes I scream at you for not getting good enough grades in school and for your bedroom being a mess, but somehow tonight, I just wanted to sit here and well, just let you know that you do make a difference to me. Besides your mother, you are the most important person in my life. You're a great kid and I love you!" The boy was startled and through his tears he said "I was planning to commit suicide tomorrow dad, because I thought you didnt love me, but now I dont need to."
