During the Second World War Barbara had to hide the Jews for more than a year and transported them to a safety place as things become too dangerous and risky. She helped them even though she knew that if she had been caught she would be in an immense trouble. Her moral courage had helped some of the Jews, but then later she was caught and sent to a German concentration camp where she had to suffer for two years until the war ends.
