Woolly Thinking:
Making Nonsense of the Goan Liberation Movement

© Prakash John Mascarenhas. 24th November 2002.
This is in response to the TGF editorial All this Foolish Talk about Goan Independence. The article is sad and bad and disappointing. It is full of Woolly thinking. It is the viewpoint of Ostriches, advocating that we Bury our heads in the sands. It is the viewpoint of Slaves, who kiss their Chains, and rejoice in being Despoiled. And, above all, it is eminently illogical.

Goa and Goans are famous for the Susegad attitude. This is the most vicious stereotyping, but it is unfortunately true and precise. We have made it so, choosing it for ourselves.

What is Susegadism? It is the attitude of inertia, of laziness, of self-cultivated ignorance, of know-nothingism.

It is exactly because of this attitude that our enemies, the Indian Union and its co-conspirator, the New Church led by 'Pope Paul VI' and by Valerian Gracious, the bishop of Bombay, in the Indian Union, were confident that they could conspire and commit their mischief against Portuguese India and get away with it. It is exactly because of this attitude that our people have not awoken, or happening to awaken, have taken to singing lullabies to themselves in order to go back to sleep, so as to not face the horrid and unpleasant situation that we see ourselves in.

I have said that the position taken by the article above is illogical. Firstly, we do not have any obligation whatsoever, whether legal or moral, towards the Indian Union. We are not a part of it. We are NOT, repeat NOT, a member of its' joint family, if it is a joint family. I have demonstrated this fact beyond argument in my article A Treatment of the Indian Union's Claims Against Portuguese India. I have shown, beyond the least shadow of doubt, that the Indian Union has no claim or call upon us. We are merely its victims, and are not members of it.

Secondly, as the TGF article itself labouriously demonstrates, its author(s) are fully aware of the unacceptable situation obtaining in the Occupied EIP, so that there is not a shred of a good reason why we should acquiese in this patently illegal occupation and thuggery against ourselves, our country and our people.

I ask the TGF this hypothetical question: What if the enclaves of the EIP were not embedded only in the Indian Union, but also in what is today Pakistan and Bangladesh. Should it then have been that the Indian Union should seize what is embedded in its territory and Pakistan what is embedded in its? Is not this the meaning of 'national re-unification'? And how hypothetical is this? If the Indian Union had not seized the princely state of Junagadh by main force, it would have acceded to Pakistan, and then Diu would be having Pakistan as its major neighbour, wouldn't it? So, then, in 1961, when the Indian Union seized Goa and Daman, Pakistan should have seized Diu?

TGF makes a great deal of us being a part of the 'Indian Union's Joint Family,' whatever that is. However did we become so? A hostage does not become, because he has been kidnapped, a member of his kidnapper's family, or for that matter, a member of his gang. A kidnapper or a robber does not gain rights of possession, or rights to claim the affection and loyalty of his victims, as a result of his crime. To claim this is the greatest evil.

TGF asks us to acquiese in and endorse what is inescusably and incontrovertibly evil. It tells us to justify the unjustifiable. And what are the consequences of such an attitude? To acquiese in evil is to be joined with the wrongdoer, to become an accomplice. But, moreover, it is to justify all future evils, all future wrongdoings, whether by this one or by that one. And this cannot ever, ever, be moral. The TGF position, then, is immoral, traitorous and irreligious!

I know that I am merely wasting my breath in saying this, however, I will still say it: Let the TGF be true to its own principles and therefore state publicly and openly to the Indian Union's occupation organs in the EIP and to its authorities in the Indian Union itself, that what the Indian Union styles as the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (Trans-Karakorum tracts gifted by Pakistan to China, Pakistan-held Northern Territories of Gilgit, Baltitstan and Shinaki, and the Pakistan supported, puppet state of the Islamic Republic of Azad Jammu and Kashmir) is a part of Pakistan, not of the Indian Union. For does not Pakistan have just as good a title - barefaced robbery, as the Indian Union has in Portuguese India? And moreover, Pakistan must have a much better title in POK than the Indian Union in the EIP for have they not seized and held it from 1947 itself, which is a good 14 years before the Indian Union committed its' act of barefaced robbery in the EIP?

Genocide Against the EIP

The biggest threat faced by us, and one of the two main reasons why the tamasha of 1961 was staged, was to destroy the Goan majority's Christian character. Like with Vietnam, where Paul VI, John Kennedy and Vietnamese Buddhism conspired and murdered President Diem and his entire family, (only Bishop Peter-Martin Ngo and another brother escaped because they were abroad), this was a conspiracy between the New Church (Paul VI, Valerian Gracious), Russia, and Nehru. The second main reason was, of course, to destroy the last two hold-outs of militant Catholicism — the two Phalangist Iberian states of Franco's Spain and Salazar's Portugal. The conspirators then went on to stage-manage the events following the death of Salazar and the Communist revolution in Portugal, the breakaway of Angola and Mozambique under Communist regimes, and the tragi-comedy of East Timor. Of course, the true conspirators from behind the scenes are the Noahide Freemasons and their Jewish instructors and commanders, and the global goal was not piddling EIP but the overthrow of Christianity and Christendom on a world-wide scale.

This is what is being actively pursued and being pushed forward in the Occupied EIP from 1961 till today. This is the root cause of all our grievances, and the sooner we recognize this fact, the better it is for us. It is when we awaken to the truth that we will be able to come to grips with the problem that confronts us and resolve it.

The Genocide directed against us and our historical and religious traditions is two-fold. It emanates both from the Occupation and from the crypto-collaborationist New Church, which goes out of its way to subvert us and to foist upon us unacceptable changes that reverse our religious course of the last half a millenium.

The 'Swadeshification' of Indian Christianity is neither accidental nor innocent. It is, rather, actuated by pure malice, by the urge to de-Christianize us. Again, it is not, in any manner, due to any kind of prompting by the Indian Union and its authorities, for this program has been commenced since the last fourty years, long before the Hindu Revanchists came to prominence with their demand that we re-assimilate ourselves to them. Rather, as this history demonstrates, it is independent and voluntary, self-actuated.

'Constitutional Slavery'

TGF advocates that the way forward is some Woolly program to better ourselves socially. In fact, our persecutors would like nothing better, so long as we keep ourselves distracted and not recognize the truth and work to correct the situation.

And no such program as advocated by the TGF will ever succeed, precisely because the Occupation will not, cannot permit it to succeed. The Occupation will tolerate and even foster this program as a diversion from our real duties, but at the same time, it will by no means relent from its own agenda — which is nothing less than the complete Hinduification, colonization and political, demographical and cultural assimilation of the EIP.

Let me tell the EMINENCES GRIS of the TGF these plain facts: You think that you are safe in your ivory towers: You can continue to superciliously look down upon us in the field of action and you can continue to rue, to cry and to descry us and our pursuit of our program as foolishness and as doomed to failure. For a long time — too long a time, you joined with the conspirators of 1961 to delude us, to keep us asleep, to persuade us against the rational and correct course, but today, I say this to you: There will be a liberation war, whether you want it or not. And it will succeed, whether you support it or not. I am fully satisfied that a struggle for liberation is both necessary and inevitable. I am fully committed to doing all that is in my power to aid this process.

I freely admit that we are a minority. Nevertheless, you are not the majority either. The majority is dumb, silent, confused. But morally they are with us, for we follow the path of rationality, logic, morality and law. Therefore, we are confident of ourselves.

And what if we are a minority? Alexander the Macedonian, with a small Greek army, overthrew the vastly larger Persian Empire, extending from modern Turkey to Pakistan and from Central Asia to Egypt and Arabia. More closer to our times, Laurent Desire Kabila overthrew with the aid of tiny Rwanda the much vaster Zaire of Seso-Seko Mobuto. On a scale of comparision, in both these cases, the contending states can be compared to the Indian Union and Bhutan. Imagine a Bhutanese army being able to overthrow and conquer the Indian Union. Yet this is what both Alexander and Kabila did. History is replete with stories of how determined, focused minorities have succeeded in liberating their countries - eg. Wallace and latter, Robert the Bruce, of Scotland , the founders of the USA against the more influential loyalists, the founders of modern Eire, etc. How many were the first pioneers who staged the Easter Rising of 1916, that truly set on its way the Irish liberation movement? Closer home, a minority began to agitate against England and grew to independence. Focused minorities forced the re-organisation of the Indian Union to create most of the present provinces. And so on.

No Manhood Without Child-Birth

To the effeminate, shy and coyly-retiring Appeasers, I say: There will be a war, there will be bloodshed. Excepting the Messiah, who was born painlessly, no man has been born but who has had to undergo the traumatic, yet necessary, process of childbirth - to leave the cozy comfort of the known and go forth into the unknown. Freedom does not come on a platter.

Truth beckons me; Her cold, imperious command I cannot deny. The burden of bearing the sword She lays upon me; I know not where my path winds, yet I shall obey and walk the bidden way, for it is the Way of Her Master and my God: the God of Abraham, the God of Joan D'Arc. Truth bides me to shut up the proud spiteful mouths of the profane blasphemers, of the puffed-up pagans. Truth bides me to the clanging steel: I will not be distracted, I will not be smooth-talked out of my duty before God. Let them sleep who will sleep; let them be that think themselves safe in the false security of the cloying womb; for me it is to go out into the broad daylight, to prove my manhood and my chivalry and to redeem the fair name of my dear motherland!

Not for me is the Peace of Slaves!

EPILOGUE

Finally, whether the Appeasers recognize it or not, the internal logic of our situation demands, even compels, this course. There is no other logical and rational means out of our present situation. Morality and Law are on our side. God is on our side. And men of good will, not refugees in ivory towers, will support and aid us. To say more than this is both unnecessary and a waste of time.
