I have not been paying attention to the messages of the various apparitions, both approved and unapproved. However, I have been hearing this quote, as above, being attributed to La Salette.

This statement or message of the Apparition at La Salette has been troubling me for quite some time. Apparently, the message was approved and therefore permitted to be believed, by the Church. But it directly contradicted the Church's teachings down the ages and which were most salutarily reiterated at the Council of the Vatican, held under Pope Pius IX in 1869 -70: That the faith of Rome cannot and will not ever entirely fail. Now I have found the pages of the Abbe de Nantes on La Salette, and also those of the notorious anti-Catholic, John Loughnan, in which he (Loughnan) exposes this message as a fraud.

Moreover both Nantes and Loughnan provide evidence that these so-called latter revelations of Melanie Calvat, composed and published in and after 1879, the ones where she attributes this message to our Lady, have been placed on the Index of Forbidden Books thus making them forbidden for Catholics!

Nevertheless, Nantes believes in the authenticity of this quotation or message, as distinct from the rest of the Melanist writings that have been forbidden, basing himself on the surmise that it forms part of the true secret that was given to Bishop Bruillard of Grenoble and to Pope Pius IX. I cannot agree with Nantes on this.

It is these, post-Apparitional fabrications by Melanie Calvat-Mathieu that constitute the basis of the Melanist Movement.

The evidence is apparently incontrovertible.

Moreover, from Loughnan, it seems that some who pretend to be Catholics are apparently denying the validity of the Index of Forbidden Books on the basis of it having been abolished in 1966. But it is precisely this abolishment that we, as Catholics, in keeping with Pope Paul IV's Bull, Cum Ex Apostolatus Officio, do not recognize together with all other acts, orders and judgements by the Modernist antipopes.

Let us be logical: If the latter teaching of Melanie Calvat is to be accepted one must acnowledge the Melanist movement in its entirety: therefore admit Michael Colin as Pope Clement and his successor Gaston Tremblay as Pope John-Gregory XVII!

When I had finished reading Nantes and Loughnan on the subject, I think I can understand why the South African bishop, Richard Bedingfeld has defected to Gaston Tremblay. For it is Michel Colin who has carried forth the Melanist agenda, and it is Gaston Tremblay who represents the authentic Melanism in our day!

I request your assistance and reactions on this matter.
