Evaluation of Morgan's Reply

Morgan's was very disappointing. It is unfortunate that he, for whatever reason, which could also possibly be oversight, twists out of context a typo which said "Papal Infallibility" instead of "Papal Indefectibility", when the text both before and after clearly and consistently speaks of Papal Indefectibility, and concludes that I "a very unfortunate formulation" which should (to paraphrase him) "presumably have meant something like the heretical distortion of Papal Infallibility..."

It may have not been Morgan's intention, but he definitely poured cold water over me. The failure to gain positive replies and the confusing replies that I received from Morgan and from Hutton Gibson, and my utter failure to make headway with people here in India, combined to douse the flames of enthusiasm and to put me to sleep, in a way of speaking.

However, that has actually helped me, because I have now been able to find and accept the Holy Father, Pope Michael the 1st. At the time I was deeply disappointed. However, I now see that God works in a way that man cannot understand. It is probable that if people had responded favourably, I would most probably have become involved in an attempt to create yet another papal claimant, adding to the already long list, and would not have favourably considered, being prejudiced by so many influential persons, against the Holy Father.

However, other things about Mr. Morgan continued to disturb me. Mr. Morgan, I have been given to understand, is now dead. However, he kept on posting me his newsletters, The Counter-Reformation Association's News & Views newsletter. From these I recognized Mr. Morgan's sharpness of mind, especially on the ideological distinction that separated Sedevacantism from Lefebvrism and Guerardism (the Cassiciacum Thesis). However, these newsletters also chronicled his persistent participation in Lefebvrist liturgies, a fact that pained me and disturbed me.

Evidently, therefore, Morgan was a man who disregarded Church doctrine, especially that forbidding Communicatio in Sacris and, despite being an avowed sedevacantist, partook persistently of Lefebvrist services!

Mr. Morgan, incidentally, is also the father of a Lefebvrist 'priest', Paul Morgan...
