Premature Crowing

It was inevitable that when the US-led coalition should succeed in overthrowing Saddam Hussain and his regime, some, indeed very many Americans would draw the wrong conclusion that America is now invincible and can do whatever it wants, and that it is now the sole arbiter of morality.

This New York Post article has just pronounced this belief.

I think that this is foolish, and that even more than foolish, it is just plain premature crowing.

America may be the most mightiest military power on the face of the earth today, but that does not guarantee it victory in every conflict that it will be involved. And the day will come, sooner rather than later, when America will fall.

But not yet.

In the meantime, America does both good and evil.

It did evil in Serbia, where Muslim Serbs pretended that because they are Muslims they are not Serbs but constitute a separate and distinct nation, and carved out Bosnia, the only European state named not after a people, but after a river. That is not to justify the brutal reaction of the Byzantine Serbs under Slobodan Milosevic.

And America is founded from its very beginning in wrongdoing and evil.

There was no real just cause for the American colonies of England to secede, but they did secede. Then the USA aggravated its crimes by encroaching and balkanising the Spanish New World - New Spain or Mexico, New Granada and Peru, etc., dividing what was three or four states into some fourty statelets upon which it preys and which it has horribly robbed and wronged.

In the fight against Saddam Hussain, those who supported the US-led action, such as myself, did so not because they recognize that America is good or moral but that Saddam Hussain had transgressed too many limits and posed a threat to world peace.

I agree with American foreign policy towards North Korea, which also poses a world threat, but which is protected and indulged by the powerful and nuclear Communist China, so that the same type of action cannot be contemplated.

I agree with Bush that the UN should not have a significant role to play in a post-Saddam Iraq, but that the transition must be handled by the US-led coalition. That is reasonable and makes sense. (I think that it would be best that the Chief Transitional Administrator of Iraq should not be American but from allied Kuwait.)

However, Americans are deluding themselves if they think that they can do just what they want and not have to care for the opinions and positions of others.

I would like to warn America to remember God. God does not like America.

From God's viewpoint, America is evil.

It is the land of promiscuity and license, of immorality and of heresy. It is the land of those great evils — Abortion and Homosexuality.

And as such, it is the chief upholder of the System of Evil, the Kingdom of this World.

It is the Kingdom of Materialism, of self-indulgence, of arrogance and of conceit.

As such, America insults and aggravates God daily.

Given that this will continue unchanged, it is not a question of if God will punish America, but of when.

Let wise and just Americans contemplate that terrible day and tremble.

Let us pray for the redemption of as many souls as is possible. Let us pray also for the repentance of America, which, however, is greatly improbable.
