Pope Michael I, was born September 22, 1959 to Kenneth David Bawden and Clara Bawden (nee Barton) and was baptized & christened David Allen Bawden.

He was elected Pope on 16th July 1990, by a group of Conclavist (or post-Sedevacantist) Catholics to fill the vacancy that has been proven to exist since the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958, by, among others, Fr. Saenz y Arriaga, S.J. of Mexico, Teresa Benns, Hutton Gibson, Patrick Henry Omlor, Dr. Rama Coomaraswamy, Dr. Homero Johas of Brazil, (and Fr. Burton Frasier, S.J.), etc., based on the principles of Catholic Theology (see next).
