  1. I prefer "Good Pope John"; Michael is weird!

You prefer well. And in finding Michael weird, you do well too... as much as the Pharisees of two thousand years ago, who also found Christ Jesus weird....

John (Roncalli) and also Montini / Paul 6, Luciani / John-Paul II & Wojtyla / John-Paul II, are loved by the World, for their religion is not that of Christ Jesus, whom the World hates, but that of the World.

As Christ Jesus taught us Christians (John 15: 18 fl.):
If the world hates you, be sure that it hated me before it learned to hate you.

If you belonged to the world, the world would know you for its own and love you; it is because you do not belong to the world, because I have singled you out from the midst of the world, that the world hates you.

Do not forget what I said to you, No servant can be greater than his master.

They will persecute you just as they have persecuted me; they will pay the same attention to your words as to mine. And they will treat you thus because you bear my name; they have no knowledge of him who sent me.

If I had not come and given them my message, they would not have been in fault; as it is, their fault can find no excuse.

To hate me is to hate my Father too.

If I had not done what no one else ever did in their midst they would not have been in fault; as it is, they have hated, with open eyes, both me and my Father.

And all this, in fulfilment of the saying which is written in their law, They hated me without cause.
Figs do not grow on thorn-trees. We all know that the World, which loves Roncalli / John XXIII-II so much that it actually pisses in its pants from sheer pleasure, never loved any of the Orthodox Popes, and loves to badword Pius IX, Leo XIII, Pius X, Benedict XV, Pius XI and Pius XII....

If the World hates Pope Michael, then, we are well; we would need to worry if the World begins to fall all over itself out of love for Pope Michael!

  2. John opened the windows, to let in fresh air, and to overcome the musty old smells. You seem to want to close the windows once again!

You have a good point there.

The children of the world are wise as serpents in their own way.

    Robert Frost said:
"Dont take down the fence before you learn why it was put up in the first place."
Yet, Roncalli "opened" the windows, to let in some spirit. His own follower described the results as auto-destruction.

That "musty smell" you speak of, was the Odour of Holiness, Piety and of Romanitas, which were driven away.

Another spirit, that of the World and of its Prince, rules instead!

  3. You don't get to be pope just because 6 people (including your mother and father) vote for you!

If you were standing for President of the USA, and your father and mother and your brothers and sisters and cousins too won as delegates, should they abstain from voting for you as President, because of their blood relationship?

Nonsense. They act, not as your relatives, but as representatives.

Likewise, Mr. & Mrs. Bawden were Catholics, representative of the Catholic Church, first, and the fact that they were also the parents of David Bawden is relatively insignificant, and absolutely meaningless when it comes to the election.

But can only six people elect the pope? Perhaps not, unless we consider that Popes in the past have been elected by fewer than six....

Again, we remember that the election was not restricted to the six who did participate, but was open to all orthodox Catholics, subject to their making a Profession of Faith and Abjuration of Errors, as prescribed by the Church from time immemorial. Therefore, the election is binding.

  4. We seem to have a self-proclaimed pope here...

A man who has been elected, is not "self-proclaimed".

  5. The Church cannot be reduced to merely six souls.... It is sheer presumption on the part of this small, breakaway, schismatic group!

Christ asked his disciples a rhetoric question:
Do you think that the Son of Man will find faith when he returns?
St. Paul the Apostle teaches that there will come a Great Apostasy, before the Reign of the Antichrist, when nearly all the believers will be seduced away from the true faith.

And a similar situation had already come to prevail during both the Arian and the Monothelite controversies, of which Fr. William Jurgens says:
At one point in the Churchs history, only a few years before Gregory Nazianzens present preaching (+380 A.D.), perhaps the number of Catholic bishops in possession of sees, as opposed to Arian bishops in possession of sees, was no greater than something between 1% and 3% of the total.

Had doctrine been determined by popularity, today we should all be deniers of Christ and opponents of the Spirit.

...In the time of the Emperor Valens (4th century), Basil was virtually the only orthodox Bishop in all the East who succeeded in retaining charge of his see...

If it has no other importance for modern man, a knowledge of the history of Arianism should demonstrate at least that the Catholic Church takes no account of popularity and numbers in shaping and maintaining doctrine: else, we should long since have had to abandon Basil and Hilary and Athanasius and Liberius and Ossius and call ourselves after Arius.

  6. The person responsible for this claptrap should spend more time studying basic English and less time convincing some dweeb that he's the Second Coming OR Bawden is not competent to be Pope since he is not well educated!

This is a much more reasonable objection. Reasonable, given the fact that Christ Jesus scoured the Universities to select only the Creme de la creme de la creme of Ph.D.s, and other Academic adepts for his apostles.

For example, Simon Barjohn, the first Pope (Cephas / St. Peter), was a Professor of Ichthyology and Applied Aquaculture at the University of Gennesareth in Galilee, which province was cherished by contemporary Jews as the Epicenter of learning (John 7:52).

Christ Jesus himself had a Degree in Dryurgy (Woodworking), and spent a lot of his time studying assiduously at the feet of the Rabbis of the University of Jerusalem.

Likewise, the other Apostles were also very well educated and recognized Academics.

By comparision, Pope Michael is a rude peasant! But we are not worried. Our Lord said (Luke 10:21):
What you have hidden from the learned and the clever you have revealed to merest children.
Again, St. Paul teaches us (1 Cor. 1: 25fl.):
So much wiser than men is God's foolishness; so much stronger than men is God's weaknesses. Consider, brethren, the circumstances of your own calling; not many of you are wise, in the world's fashion, not many powerful, not many well born. No, God has chosen what the world holds foolish, so as to abash the wise, God has chosen what the world holds weak, so as to abash the strong. God has chosen what the world holds base and contemptible, nay, has chosen what is nothing, so as to bring to nothing what is now in being; no human creature was to have any ground for boasting, in the presence of God. It is from him that you take your origin, through Christ Jesus, whom God gave us to be all our wisdom, our justification, our sanctification, and our atonement; so that the scriptures might be fulfilled, If anyone boasts, let him make his boast in the Lord.

  7. This claim is put forward by Pope Michael's supporters....

We who adhere to Pope Michael, do not do so because he is the brainiest man alive, but because and only because he is Pope. That is, we are supporters and disciples, not of Pope Michael, but of Christ Jesus, and of his Church, the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

  8. You do not have the authority to reject Pope John XXIII... or Pope John-Paul II as heretics!

    St. Robert says:
"... for men are not bound, or able to read hearts; but when they see that someone is a heretic by his external works, they judge him to be a heretic pure and simple, and condemn him as a heretic."
(St. Robert Bellarmine, De Romano Pontifice, II, 30) Again, we read, in Wernz-Vidal's Commentary on Canon Law:
"Finally, one cannot consider as schismatics those who refuse to obey the Roman Pontiff because they would hold his person suspect or because of widespread rumors, doubtfully elected."
(Wernz-Vidal, Iuris Canonicum, Rome, Gregorian Univ., 1937, Vol. II, p. 398). And, again, that the following was condemned by Pope Alexander VII:
"Although it is evidently established by you that Peter is a heretic, you are not bound to denounce him . . ." Condemned.
    (Denzinger 1105).
