The Catholic Church

PJM - Re. Michelangelo being a Sodomite, I know nothing about it. I will read the Catholic Encyclopedia article on him to be able to discover whether this allegation is true or not; myself, I seriously doubt it.

SH - Well, as far as I know, the majority of his biographers and renaissance art historians believe based on evidence that Michelangelo was gay. I understand that the evidence is well described in the following biographies:

--The Life of Michelangelo Buonarroti: Baseed on Studies in the Archives of the Buonarroti Family at Florence by John Addington Symonds, Creighton E. Gilbert and Michelangelo Buonarroti (2002)

--Michelangelo: A Self-Portrait by Robert JJ. Clements (1963).

As for the Catholic Encyclopedia, I doubt that it would say anything about the sexual orientation of anybody. But I am hoping that you would at least grant that while it would tell us nothing but the truth, it might not have an obligation to tell the whole truth.

PJM: It is an interesting contention that while the honesty of the authors of the Catholic Encylopedia, ostensibly people who wish to speak the truth and to be seen to speak the truth, is dismissed most cavalierly and as unreliable, that of the Propagandists of Sodomism, who very evidently wish to distort and misrepresent each and every innocent relationship between any two men or between any two women as being homosexual, is exalted.

By making this amazing contention, its author shows his impartiality, honesty and intelligence.

Mind Boggling?

BA - The Church is not perfect. There are many human issues - married clergy, female ordination, acceptance of single gender marriages, etc - that need to be addressed and will be addressed by the Church when the time is ripe. The timing will depend upon God's will as manifested in the teaching authority of the Pope.

Acceptance of single gender marriages: Is that mind boggling? Picture this: Butch 'Masses', Drag 'Masses'.

Want more?

Picture this: At long last, 'Pope' Balaam 4, late Charlieboy Wojtyla, and his butch, Cardinal Scapegrace, having at last felt free enough to come out of the closet, and to celebrate, concelebrate a Drag 'Mass' in the Vatican! As part of the Liturgy of the People: An Orgy. The side show: Belly dancers, a gay pride parade and a gay stripshow.

Let us fall down and worship this oracle, BA: It is not a man that speaks, but a god!
'JC', certainly the opposite of Jesus Christ, wrote in response to my having written: [St. Peter said, 'There is no other name given under the heavens by which men can be saved except that of Christ Jesus.' This defines the Catholic Church.]

Can you please direct me to WHERE it is recorded that St. Peter said those words? also....who recorded them & when... et al.

References contemporary to the times of St. Peter, would be enough.

Knowing HOW words change when One quotes what another quotes what another is reported to have quoted, I prefer to source reference that quote of yours.

'JC' objected to my calling him a Christophobe and affirmed that he is very much a Christian. A Christian who says that Celibacy has NO theological basis. A Christian who says that the Inquisition is unholy. Is this rich? This is richer: A Christian who asks, where in Scriptures did St. Peter say that 'There is no other name given under the heavens by which men can be saved except that of Christ Jesus.'

Notice how, when asking for this reference, he squirms and wriggles, to create room for himself to escape. He hedges around by before-hand throwing up conditions and conditions. Conditions that show his bad faith and malice, that show that, even if the reference is provided, he will challenge the authenicity of the text upon the ground of reliability, etc., etc. The mark of a Satanist.

Should I have indulged him? Should I have provided him yet another opportunity to slander and blaspheme God and His Holy Scriptures? Matt. 16: 4.

But, I provide it here, for those who are genuine seekers, and who are ignorant of such a famous quote, if it be possible that there are such: Acts, 4: 1-12.

"...that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth... even in this name... Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Confraternity of St. Joseph Version)

But there is more.

John 10:1-21. "Amen, amen, I say to you, he who enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up another way, is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is shepherd of the sheep. To this man the gatekeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them forth. And when he has let out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. But a stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers."

This parable Jesus spoke to them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.

Again, therefore, Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All whoever have come are thieves and robbers; but the sheep have not heard them. I am the door. If anyonte enter by me he shall be safe and shall go in and out, and shall find pastures." (C.S.J. Version)

I had challenged, how can we accept Rama, Krishna and the other 'gods' of the contemporary pagans, if we follow the Bible which told the Israelites in their time to reject Baal, Moloch, Chemosh, etc.? If we accept the former, we must necessarily accept these also: that is, we must reject the Bible and its God as wrong, foolish and even evil. If on the other hand we truly accept the God of the Bible, we must necessarily reject Rama, Krishna and the other 'gods' of the contemporary pagans just as much as we reject Baal, Moloch, Chemosh, etc.

There is no middle way.

Exodus 20: 2-6. "I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have other gods besides me. For I, the Lord, your God, am a jealous God." (C.S.J. Version)

Deuteronomy 28: 7 & 25 "The Lord will beat down before you the enemies that rise up against you, though they come out against you from but one direction, they will flee before you in seven. (But if...) The Lord will let you be beaten down before your enemies; though you advance against them from one direction, you will flee before them in seven." (C.S.J. Version)

Romans 1: 18-32.

1 Corinthians 10: 14-22.

1 Corinthians: 15: 12-19.

Galatians 1: 6-10.

Galatians 4: 8-11.

1 Peter 1: 18.

1 Peter 4: 1-6.

2 Peter 2

1 John 4: 20-21.

Epilogue

There is a popular saying in the Remnant circles:

We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshiped.

If you were right then, we are right now.

If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.
My Konkani is not too good, but I think that the following should be an adequate rendering: Amim asat je tumi ekpauti hallem
Amim mandtam je tumi ekpauti mandtalem
Amim prartithaum joshem tumi ekpauti prartithalem

Tumim tena khore hallem, tor amim atan khorem asat
Amim atam chukan asat, tor tumi tena chukan hallem
END.
