Goa in India

In the Indian Union, Goa is treated as a trophy – a prize of war – on show.

Her unique Indo-Lusitanian culture is touted as a tourist attraction.

Citizens of the Indian Union come to Goa to enjoy themselves, gawk at the Goans and their culture. Amidst, all this the Goans are everywhere treated as a conquest, a conquered people, a trophy; a subject people fit only to serve and wait upon their conquerors.

The Goans complain of their sad, reduced state. But complaints will achieve nothing.

To ensure that our interests are secured, it is necessary that we must be the supreme arbiters of our own political destiny, deciding our own course and controlling our guests.

The present dispensation does not permit that. Therefore, the present dispensation must be changed.
