Report of the Credentials Committee

Dom Romeo da Silva and Dom Antonio da Fonseca, proposed by Dom Mirabeau da Gama e Rosario and seconded by Dom Hermano Mascarenhas unanimously approved by acclamation, to form the Credentials Committee, have the following to report:

Having gone through the credentials of the various delegates, the Credentials Committee finds the Credentials of the following Delegates in order:
  1. Brazil - Dom Filomeno Fernandes

  3. Ethiopia - Dom Francisco Xavier de Sousa
  4. Ceylon - Dom Alfredo Fernandes
  5. Mocambique - Dom Sergio Sirvoicar

  7. Kenya - Dom Mirabeau da Gama e Rosario, Bar-at-law, President, the Goan Association of Kenya; Dom Minguel M.X. de Sousa, Vice-President, the Goan Association of Kenya; Dom Romeo da Silva, Secretary, the Goan Association of Kenya.

The Credentials Committee would like to point out that, in the case of the occupied Goa, Damao & Dio, and of Bombay, the delegates concerned did not produce written credentials due to the conditions prevailing in those areas:
  1. Goa - Dom Carlos Oliveira Pegado
  2. Damao & Dio - Dom Orfino da Rocha
  3. Bombay - Dom Faustino Dias, MA, LLB
The delegates from Goa, Damao & Dio individually explained their cases to the General Body which accepted them as representatives of the respective communities on the recommendation of the President of the Conference.
