- "Love Is" poem

Love is more than a feeling,
                    Love is always yielding.
                    Love is forever sowing,
                    Love is eternally growing.
Love is more than a word,
Love is often unspoken, yet heard.

                    Love never fails.  ~ I Corinthians 13:8

Call to Worship:

John 17:22-25 --- "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.  Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the  creation of the world.  Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me."

Jeremiah 31:2-6 --- This is what the Lord says: "The people who survive the sword will find favour in the desert; I will come to give rest to Israel."  The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.  I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel.  Again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful.  Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Smaria; the farmers will plant them and enjoy their fruit.  There will be a day when watchemn cry out on the hils of Ephraim, 'Come, let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God.'"

Our Relationship with God:

Isaiah 38:17 --- Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish.  In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.

Our Relationship with Others:

Conviction: John 13:35 --- By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
