Call to Worship:

Faithful Set:

~ Acts 27:23-25 ~ God is trustworthy.  He does what He says He will do, so we can count on him to keep His promises.  Paul knew this so he urged the people to have courage during the storm.

God's timing is always the best timing.  In our own perception, however, we sometimes see immediate gratification to be the right thing.  So what happens when it seems like God is not answering our prayers?  We must learn to trust in Him and wait for Him.  There are many accounts in the Bible of how people find out that God's time is always the best (Abraham, Moses, Israelites, etc).

~ 2 Peter 3:8-9 ~
~ 1 Timothy 1:16-17 ~  Christ has unlimited patience for us so we should have the same.

Patience Set:

~ 1 Corinthians 13:4 ~  Love is patient so when we display our love for God we too should be patient.

Taken from "Praise and Worship Study Bible": The confidence David expresses in Psalm 11 is echoed by Don Moen's "God Will Make a Way".  In this psalm David turns a surge of panic into an occasion for worship.  The beginning of the psalm describes how the foundations of law and order have collapsed and David's enemies are priming their weapons and preparing to attack God's people.  But instead of fleeing, David simply declared, "I trust in the Lord for protection" (11:1).  David completely believed that God is able to make a way for those who seek His face.

~ James 1:12 ~  Those who persevere and wait for the Lord will be blessed.

Last Set:

While we're waiting for the Lord, we need to make sure our passion and desire for Him continues to grow.
