Through the years this has been one of my favorite of all praise choruses. It didnt occur to be to put together an arrangement of it because I assumed there were copyrights on it. (To the best of our ability Wigtune Company does not make arrangements of copyrighted material.)

I was amazed one day as I looked through my hymnal to notice that I Have Decided is a folk melody from India from an unknown source. After determining that it would be a great closer for Vanessas second solo album, With All My Heart, I asked her if she would like to sing it. She was elated at the possibility.

I decided to keep the arrangement simple (a Steinway piano with some bass and B3 organ) and let the harmonies carry the tune. Vanessa, though, got herself in a bit of a jam when she was putting the harmonies over the melody. She started off laying the lower part, then followed with the top part only to find out that some of the notes that she wanted to use were already used up! The excellent doubling that resulted, though, turned out superb and creates a folk-song mood to this moving piece. The acapella portion is especially powerful.

We sincerely pray that you will be encouraged in your dedication to God as you praise God to this wonderful piece.
