Winter Meadow 1
A pile of rusty refuse gone
erased by cleansing winter snow.
It is, perhaps, still lurking there
beneath the crystals pure
surely it was ugly, no neat little pile of woe
truly it's still there... or maybe not or so?
This debris of years ago,  maybe not.
As page marks of an autumn view,
now gone from spoiling tranquil pasture scene,
simply there, ugly still,  but off the meadow page
Seen clearly now, but only by our own closed eyes.

Winter Meadow 2
This virgin snow transforms the meadow new
the trail we hiked in autumn's dew
becomes our route of skiing too
Where once was refuse piled askew
now we find our route by clue
and as we ski we listen true
forward we hear ski tips zipping through
looking back our ski tails buzzing lightly do
give us sound heard by very few
the sound of our own self leaving,
once we've seen again all new.
