Prairie Free
A wildflower starves and struggles
but finds a place to be.
--
So hard to find,
yet never hiding
splendor to be seen.
--
Only seeking eyes can see,
beyond the progress chase
in gilded flailing haste.
To  see and stop a moment, listening
And in single quiet thunder clap
of silence pending, holding breath,
deafen us to our own cacophony....
--
The wonder of a prairie place
with simple time to be.
--
A windswept silent sentinel,
abiding ever patiently
in timeless duty cloaked,
eternal swaying liberty
of wildflowers, waving,
in passion to be free.
